The US is a Truman Show of continental proportions!!!

The US is the only country in the world that has a film industry. A real film industry. That's why the US is so unique.

Everything in the US is framed as a Hollywood movie. There must be starts: John Chambers, Jack Welch and MacGinn.

There must be mavericks: Bill Gates, Steve Jobs.

There must be evil guys: Mike Milken, Enron bosses and Robber Barons.

There must be military who talk tough on TV.

Lest not forget sex: Marilyin Monroe, Gary Hart's Donnar Rice, Monika Lewisnki.

Super-sportsmen: Muhammad Ali, Jordan, Tiger Woods, Pete Sampras...

The US cannot be considered a country like the rest of us. It is a Truman Show of continental proportions!!!

SO as with Hollywood plots, don't take the US to serious!!!

Governments love to keep citizens at their tip toes. While freightened, they don't look how troublesome the situation near home is.

Just go out there and tell the people the devil is somewhere else 10.000Km away. It does the trick.

I I would be Saddam Hussein, and would open up the whole country for two group of inspectors:

1) One with Norwegians, Swedes and Russians

2) One with the US.

Then both would go to the UN and present the results of this inspections.

These mass destruction is bullshit.

Let me tell one story for you to know how easy is to fool people:

I was i Jakarta in between May - October 1998 with Ericsson. Ericsson had screwed up a company -Raynet- in the US and had to take on board quite few US employees in its projects abroad.

Once day coming from lunch an American said: "With so many expatriates here. We need a secure route to the airport."

I was going to start laughing but he was speaking seriously!
In a city of 15 million people he wanted a 'cordon sanitaire' along the airport access way guaranteed by US forces!

Look I also grew up watching Charlton Heston films. I enjoyed John Wayne barricading himself in a Fort Apache, but that was only entertainment to me.

I didn't grow up expecting that to happen in real life!
