Daniel,

I use ISDN and like it a lot. But it can be a big headache! If you don't research it before ordering your line your asking for installation troubles because the phone comapanies are filled with idiots who barely understand ISDN. USR and other companies will help you in getting started, I would advise anyone seeking ISDN to talk to them.

ISDN is substantially more expensive than 56k as it requires additional wiring to your home. I pay $68 per month for 200 hours of use, but it is more expensive in many areas. I usually run one 64k b channel but every so often I combine the channels for 128k to download large files. I'm all for 56k and will compare it to ISDN next month when I change ISP's. Of course an ISDN gives you simultanous voice and data so it can be especially beneficial in a home office environment.
