[ADI Licensing -- Impact on Aware]

Pat:

I am wondering what impact ADI's licensing move has on other Aware deals. ADI's license will cover only ADI chipsets, presumably including the ones designed with Aware's collaboration. Where does that leave Aware's DMT Software solution, including the ones reportedly licensed by USRX for the C6X TI DSP Chip? If they are not covered by the ADI licensing agreement, does Aware have to get a separate licensing deal with Amati for this? Will they be under greater pressure to license the software solution, now that ADI has licensed the hardware solution?

Once again, we are getting a heads up on valuable information from you. Thanks for all the leg work in keeping us uptodate.

Regards,

Edward
