Joe...if you get sued, I'll certainly get sued. In our cases though, we both started with very positive upbeat posts almost two years ago, that slowly deteriorated (sp) over time based on acts of apparent and undisputed incompetence.

Would provide opportunity for the ultimate countersuit, that would unearth and heavily publisize (sp) the ugly, ugly Novell story. Just think of what the corporate records on their corporate jet alone might disclose.

It seems to me that free speech is free speech, and that short of outright knowing lies, one of the glory's of this constitutional right is that the individual or company or whatever can always defend their positions, and in the same way and place as people taking the offending position. Most of the reason for the hostility that developed on this thread over time, was the direct result of not defending their position, not only with investors, but their competitors.

This company has a past history that is totally uncomprehendable considering that they were an industry leader. I hope that my incredibly negative posts over the last year may have saved some unsuspecting souls from losing a ton of money like the vast majority of Novell shareholders and myself over the last 4-5 years.

I'm not familiar with the Presstech case, but to sue a group of people who are trying to make their honest frustrations known to unsuspecting souls, just to take the spotlight off of incredibly poor performance and highly questionable future is exactly why we have a constitutional right to free speech.

FWIW, I wrote this post before I read the last two posts from yourself and Virgil.

Have a great vacation. I'll probably dissappear again for a while myself in that I closed out my first Novell short position (puts) today at a breakeven. I thought about rolling them over to October, but for what, a slooow gain of half a point to a point?. Heck, Telebras moves around 3-9 points a day and provides much more opportunity. As and if the stock drops to the low 8's, I'll may pick up some Jan 99 10's, but this stock is just too much grief for the potential upside, for me.
