[ Effect of Amati License Revenues ]

Hi Pat,

I think what the 'street' is missing is the effect of all this licensing revenue on Amati's ability to sell modems at very competitive prices.

Amati has said in the past that licensing revenues would pay for R&D. If we assume their R&D at maybe 15% of sales long term, this means that they can reduce the price of their modems by at least that much, making up for any manufacturing disadvantage due to their lower volumes.

Very positive news indeed.
