JXN's coach is very interesting. He really focuses on conditioning, position and defense. For the middle schoolers, he doesn't teach a lot of offense. He saves that for high school. One of the things that he teaches is that, if you are conditioned well, many matches will be won in the last period due to fatigue. He makes damn sure that his wrestlers do not get tired in the last period
JXN is getting a bit of a reputation for being tough. The football coaches are trying to recruit him now.
JXN says he wants to wrestle in college, we shall see how he does in High School. But he does really love it. He's already choosing schools based on wrestling programs. First choice...Stanford, then Cornell, Penn State, ASU and finally, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. |
