Larry,

I've searched and searched and can not find any confirmable reason why Mylex has been acting so strangely lately. I sold all of my holdings when it first hit 8 3/16 anticipating that I would be able to buy back in down around 7 to 7 1/2. After watching it for a few days after my sale I almost purchased back in a 7 7/8 but didn't. Unless there is some significant news or Mylex has a blow out quarter, I think the stock will pull back somewhat. My guess is that Mylex either has or is close to getting back HWP or IBM business or possibly but not likely, getting all of Compaq which would mean they also keep DEC.

I am going to be heading out of the county in another week until after the new year and when I return about three weeks before the conference call I will re-evaluate whether I should buy back in.

Good luck with the rest of your holdings.
