I don't know what time you could have borrowed by following a different regime but I know it saved me from death's door to become my own physician.

The sum total of CDN health care is 90 billion approx. BC collects 38 billion in total revenue, but a good part of that is in transfer payments from other provinces. It's own tax collection, as in VAT taxes is much less. They collect 5 billion in VAT. Their own health care is worth 15 billion.

Personal, corporate and income tax comes to 13 billion in BC. Yes, Virginia, it does exceed what they pay out in Medicare alone. Where does the other money come from, the 25 billion? From Alberta.
