[USRX/ADSL] John <<Their problems for US Robotics with ADSL as I see them are: 1) Non-USRX standards are well established (DMT and to a lesser extent CAP (defacto) ) 2) Most modems will be installed at the telco central office, not the ISP. ( If the modems are located at the ISP, I do not believe telcos have to provide a physical pair, only a local loop under their tariffs, but I could be wrong ) 3) Any retail modems must match what the telcos install until standards are finalized.>> I totally agree with the above. However, you cannot underestimate the agressive of an ISP vs. the Rbocs's. We can count on Robotic's cutting a "sweet heart" deal for all of the ISP's that have already invested in a non-migratible 56K modem. Bob
