I agree that Lucent, is not likely to be interested in moving in this direction. Lu has a lot of opportunities that will help consolidate their already strong position in providing the devices for voice, video and data over the phone system, intranets, and the internet. ANAD supplies numerous big communication equipment manufacturers. I don't believe Lucent is one of them. Anyone know for sure? ( I am lucky enough to have small positions in both of these fine companies.)
