Certainly valid points. My belief is that FA always beats TA in predicting price movements. TA is useful when earnings or other major company news isn't on the menu, especially the ones like the 50 and 200-day moving averages that many people watch.

One thing I didn't note in my last post is the current market conditions we're in with the high volatility. Any Netflix earnings surprise to the upside or downside will likely be exacerbated by it. Netflix is the most volatile of all the FAANG stocks and if I'm not mistaken, the least profitable as well. That's why NFLX reacts so strongly to subscriber numbers –– numbers their management are terrible at forecasting. All that equals high risk.

I don't think the market is done with the huge swings yet and overall I'd say the trend is still down.
