someone just invited us to visit Lhasa of Tibet Wife had visited in 1998. Supposedly changed stupendously. Dunno. Agnostic. Should the trip happen ... I am highly dubious given where we are w/ CoVid and such, and kids' school openings in August, shall blog / vlog. Apparently the way is to get on the high-speed in HK transfer at either Shenzhen or Guangzhou, proceed to Xi'an (terracotta soldiers etc) and onward to Lhasa. Even though the trains are high-speed, the journey would still be ~40 hours but supposedly beautiful. Prefer not to risk a flight under the covid circumstances. This covid stuff is now getting to be a bother, well beyond inconvenience, and am wondering, never mind vaccines, where is the cure, besides chicken soup.
