My OT stuff probably drowned out my query re KOSN at the bottom of that message. Long term play, but doesn't seem to want to go down much more at this point--will add.

OT Wow! I can't hold a candle to those hoary kings of the sport. I think I actually had a Bobo Newsome card in the mid 50's.

Yes, the three NYC teams and the perennial argument about whose centerfielder was best (Mantle, Mays and Snider). Being a Dodgers fan, I, of course, supported good old No. 4, but in my heart I knew that he was not in the same class with Nos. 7 and 24.

I think now you're right. The Browns may have moved to Baltimore, the Senators (and the Walter Johnson legacy)ensconsed in D.C.--indeed they scooted to the Twin Cities (I think was a Dodger farm team city for a while) with Killebrew, Allison and a host of other good players.

I don't know why these cricketeers keep mucking up the thread with their sport's lingo...<g>, but I guess we should give Rick a break.

PS Rick, did you make up that ditty on the spot, drag bunt, swinging bunters and all?
