China's circuit breakers are poorly designed ... the US has a better structuring... Limit moves in the futures markets over the years have caught traders and funds in positions they could not get out of. with HFT and the rise of the machines circuit breakers .... one can make a case.

and one can even make a stronger case that the Market makers system that the NYSE has where you had more humans involved has it's advantages.

Historically, nobody wants to get out of line during a bank run if the window closes for a bit. It only alarms everybody else to get into line.

I have got to agree with that.... good comments Benwood.
