Facts are nothing if they have no context. I say to you "the sky is blue." Hmmm, why am I saying that? Is it a comment on the weather? Am I saying it is not a smoggy day? Am I talking about the physical phenomenon due to Raleigh scattering? Just spitting out facts, without expecting people to infer a reason for the facts is illogical. Facts are fine as long as you have a point. You say there are more trees now than a hundred years ago. Fine. What is your point? Or was there no point? There are more people on earth now than ever lived and died in the whole of human history. What is my point? Am I merely trolling like Michael? Or are people now so plentiful we should cut them down like trees, and make them into paper and other products. A modest proposal...
