I found the Compaq press release at: biz.yahoo.com

I'm not an engineer and I don't have a clue about how "hot plug" technology works. The way I would expect WIND to be involved with CPQ is via I2O. The press release states that the new Compaq servers are "I2O ready", whatever that means.

FYI, Compaq was involved in intelligent I/O before it became a standard, and they are one of the main companies behind I2O. I therefore expect them to be using WIND's IxWorks soon, if not already.
