Ok you lay out the connection. What is it. "Troops on the border" doesn't cut it as an answer. Lot of countries have or have had soldiers patrol their borders. Very few of them where Stalinistic. What made monsters like Stalin, Mao, Hitler etc. stand out is that they killed millions, and abused many millions more. Once again nothing that even vaguely resembles that gets any serious support in the US.
