I think some people want McNabb to do well because he is black so in that sense the statement is true, but I also don't think that its very important. Also I think some people want him to do poorly because he's black. Most football fans, players, coaches, GM's and owners don't care about him being black, but rather care primarily about what he can do as a football player. If something is in a sense true but not obviously and unambigiously true, and if the sense that it is true isn't really important, and if it is a very touchy issue I think it best to think twice before saying it. I don't think he got his job because he is black, nor do I think he kept it because he is black. I do think he is a good QB even if he is overrated (some people call him a great QB, a few have even called him the best), and even if he is in a severe slump now. Tim
