Takes months to get appointments unless you have an emergency.

There is a big difference when the HMO has heavy coverage of an area. I can see my regular Doctor within three or four days when I call, any Doctor that day. Specialists within a week if I push it. My normal specialist within ten days on a "first available" basis.
