1. If you are referring to the tele.com trial, we asked just about everyone we could find for modems, and barely got the ones who finally agreed to take part to send modems. The entire CAP camp decided not to do it because their new modems were going to be out by the time the test was published, and they did not want old results. TeleChoice gave a complete list to tele.com, and they did all the logistics of contacting everyone and asking for modems. We wanted as many as we could get. We are doing this again in February I believe, and we hope to have a lot more modems in that trial.
2. We are helping some of our telco clients design new services based on the modems/xDSL capabilities, but are not really helping with any of the technical aspects of the trials per se (as in methodology, which vendors to use, etc.). Again, we are focussed on the marketing end of things and how these are brought to market.
