Young D. T. Nguyen,

I'm comparing the parallel I/O price difference only. $150 Epson vs $199 Iomega for the identical parallel I/O configuration.

I didn't compare SCSI I/O prices since I wasn't interested. The SCSI doesn't offer easy portability to another PC if they don't have a ZIP.

With parallel I/O you can use the Guest feature, plug your zip into another PC's I/O and transfer files or backup the other PC's hard disk. Everyone has a parallel port but not everyone has a SCSI adapter. I have found the parallel I/O to be more than acceptable, especially when you optimize the speed as they recommend.
