Ted, I'm not going to play a comparison game between Asians and blacks. Nor am I going to make any comments on the so-called "Bell Curve," because the issue of genetics is just as politically sensitive as race (which itself is one aspect of genetics). A rational discussion would take more time and effort than it is worth.

I'll just point out that Asians never did benefit from affirmative action to get where they are now. The only exception is broadcast journalism, where you see a great many female Asian news anchors these days. (No, I'm not slamming Connie Chung. All she represents is an image that sells.) I don't buy this notion that Asians had any material or positional advantage to build off of, because if you look at it objectively, Asians weren't any better off than Hispanics, one of the beneficiaries of affirmative action.
