I'll just point out that Asians never did benefit from affirmative action to get where they are now. The only exception is broadcast journalism, where you see a great many female Asian news anchors these days. (No, I'm not slamming Connie Chung. All she represents is an image that sells.) I don't buy this notion that Asians had any material or positional advantage to build off of, because if you look at it objectively, Asians weren't any better off than Hispanics, one of the beneficiaries of affirmative action. Look closer! Asians have done it just like every other minority group.....with a lot hard work and perserverance and an emphasis on education. However, their greatest advance began right after AA was introduced. Coincidental....or did Asians get a break under AA getting into universities and gov't jobs? ted
