Tom: As long as we have a free society that will not happen. In fact, you should fear a really free society, because in the marketplace of ideas christianity falls woefully short. The end of religion will be a very gradual thing. It may be sped up to a degree by true space exploration. Under a truly free society, rationality will eclipse mysticism and traditionalism and primitivism and tribalism. I await a re-awakening of the Age of Reason and the end of the vestiges of the Dark Ages and New Age nonsense. FT
