In the FWIW department concerning margins on iMacs, I'm looking at The Mac Zone's latest catalog Vol. 72i. The listed price for the iMac is $1299, however, sweetening the deal is a FREE 64 mb EDGE memory module. Considering that you can buy these mail order for about $100, that drops the effective cost of a new iMac to $1199. Also worth noting is the necessary conclusion that at least this one reseller must be getting the iMac for less than your stated $1180. HerbVic
