Dale,register for both Dell's home and small business email updates and you will receive daily special offers on a wide selection of models. I still like the customization ability Dell provides, and from the business division you can cut out all of the bloatware. After you make a purchase you can remove your name from the list. Don't know about Christmas, but they seem to have a tendency to offer better deals towards the end of the month. If they are running below their sales plan goals I believe they reduce the pricing a bit more. Appears to be comparable to airline seat pricing where they merchandise and price capacity.
