carter, no one is putting down selling books and etc. over the net, but through colaborative processing and groupware over the net, billions can be taken to the bottom line throguh the improving of the business processes in the complete supplier chain and of cost in dropping cost and cycle times. I think billions in profit far outway selling billions in vitamins. The net will eventually be a everyday setup in every home just like the phone is now. and I think it will be a common prodcut of cable that now brings us 100 tv channels but yet nothing is worth watching. So, in one window on the TV you have the net and in one you have a pi of another channel and then there is the channel you are watching.
