Sun's McNealy Blasts Microsoft's Poison techweb.com Q: Doesn't that duplication of effort on the developer's part create some problems?
McNealy: I think there is duplication of efforts that there is Fortune and BusinessWeek. Wouldn't it be better if we just shut down one or the other and only had one magazine. I think choice is important. And I think there is an alternative to Windows. I think it is a very good one, no viruses, no memory leaks, scalability from Java ring to supercomputer, zero administration, write once run anywhere, no porting. Those are compelling features of Java over Windows and that is why the world is adopting it like crazy. In 800 days we've gone from nowhere to being on the front page of the Wall Street Journal. ---
