I want to say I appreciate your posts very much. I think you have a wry sense of humor and are able to see and comment on the irony of various matters presented so seriously on this board. It is refreshing to be able to get a laugh in the middle of all the depressing news we face in these days.

I also try to lighten up the day sometimes. However, I think you may be making the same mistake as I do. I have been forgetting to put a <G> or some other smiley mark on my posts. I have not thought it necessary because I thought the irony or humor was so obvious. I was sadly mistaken. There are some on these boards who are so clouded by the serious situations and there are some posters who are such nut cases, that sometimes they take seriously what we present with some nuance that they miss.

I thought where you say "English people are very smart." in this post, it got and immediate laugh from me, however you might be better served if you better explain it, a suggestion would be "English people are very smart as contrasted with the French <g>" That makes it much more obvious to the denser of the crowd. I will try to do the same in future <g>.

Keep up the good work!

PS :

I think they also missed the hit taken against the Republicans here referring to "kicked him out of office", implying the fall elections, especially juxtaposed with the "smart" and "bs" comment as also a dig at the Democrats.
