Remember the meme last week about how liberals in Hollywood are using scripts to go after Bush? On last night's episode of the Sopranos, which by the way otherwise probably was the best since the first of this season, the writers put this comment into Christopher's mouth:

"What, you don't listen to the president? We're going to
mop the floor with the whole F'in world, the whole world's
gonna be under our control, so what're ya worked up about?"

Very clever - having a multiple murder, who later in the show beats the crap out of his girlfriend, "defend" the President. And doing so by putting imperial (indeed, Hitler- or Stalin-esque) ambitions of world rule in the President's mouth.

When one is confronted with such direct evidence of the level of control the left has over the instruments of mass culture in this country, one can see why so many conservatives are opting out by tossing their TVs and home schooling their kids. Personally, I'd rather fight back. Maybe a complaint to the FEC and FCC? Maybe a shareholder proposal at Time-Warner?

Sigh. It's almost enough to make one wish that John Ashcroft was as bad a dude as the left's wing-nuts and conspiracy theorists think he is.
