A bone of contention FT: In post #17640 you state "every state.....is legally obligated to intervene in the affairs of any of its residents when the health/welfare of a minor is in question.....this is wrong..." I strongly disagree. If this law causes 1,000 adults inconvenience but saves one child from abuse, battering or other inhuman suffering, it is well worth it. The adults will get over it......the child very well may not get over it. They are the most vulnerable & precious lives on earth. The future of this planet depends on the quality of life being experienced by today's children. Making their lives the best possible(not in a material way), should be the first priority of every adult alive today. Ann
