Wit SoundView Announces List of 'Everyone Will Want to Own 'Em' Technology Stocks

biz.yahoo.com

NEW YORK, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Wit SoundView Technology Stock Strategist Arnold Berman today announced a list of technology stocks he believes ``everyone will want to own'' as technology sector fundamentals begin to stabilize. The eleven stocks on Wit SoundView's list cover the broadband communications, wireless, software, hardware, and semiconductor sectors.

Mr. Berman prepared the list in answer to the following concerns facing investors: Has the decimation of technology-stock prices now become so indiscriminate that forward-thinking investors with three to five year horizons can benefit from the sort of vast wealth creation opportunity that only comes along once every several years? What stocks are the most likely to be on a list of names that ``everyone will want to own'' in the next technology bull market?

Mr. Berman, working with Wit SoundView's technology analysts, used the following criteria in his stock selection for his ``everyone will want to own'' stock list: 1) the companies that are likely to be much larger in three to five years than they are today; 2) the companies that are likely to enjoy high levels of bargaining power and barriers to entry; and 3) most important, the stocks are likely to ``graduate to the next level of institutional ownership.'' Mr. Berman did not pick any existing technology bellwethers but only companies that have a chance to either become bellwethers or to graduate from mid-capitalization to ``potential bellwether'' status.

Following is Wit SoundView's ``Everyone Will Want to Own 'Em'' Technology Stock List:
