I couldn't be more against soc security in its present form.

I know many very affluent/rich people collecting. There is no way to talk to them about it. Their attitude is "I paid into it for all of those years. I'm entitled to it."

There's no question it's an unsustainable ponzi scheme.

All that said, in its present form, the idea of just taxing people on all of their income with the intent of making the system more "solvent" couldn't be more repulsive to me.
