- There's no way Lucent will default. Lucent has $7.3 bill in A/R as of 12/31/00. Lucent can easily go to a factor tommorrow & easily get the "Fort 500" piece converted to cash in 5 minutes.

- Also, on 12/31/00, Lucent has 3.8 bill in cash

- Anything is possible, but I just don't see a default, especially w/ the Agere ipo to boot.
