I don't mind long term shorts if I am confident of the direction. Just like a core holding long which I plan to keep for months or even years. Stocks like GUMM tend to last for a couple of quarters after they start shipping product then the sales numbers come in light, they need more dilutive financing, etc. Then it is down to the low single digits.
