Intel Corp., the world's largest computer-chip maker, is expected to cut prices on almost
all its products by as much as 25 percent next week as it looks to boost demand, analysts
said. Intel is expected to cut prices Sunday on Celeron, Pentium II and Pentium III
products. Celeron chips, used in low-cost personal computers, are expected to be cut as
much as 25 percent, while Pentium II chips will be cut as much as 16 percent and
Pentium III chips by as much as 17 percent. Intel is looking to boost sales of its
processors, which are found in 75 percent of new PCs.
