Received some discouraging news about the North Texas economy.... A friend with a concession at one of the state's largest flea markets, called Traders Village, Grand Prairie : tradersvillage.com said tonight around 40 % of the dealers there have closed their shops, from 2,500 dealers to only 1,500 he estimates. I asked, "Is Christmas season late this year?" He answered, "No, this Christmas looks horrible, and I'm so discouraged." (I've noticed the malls here are doing poorly this year, but I thought a flea market would do fairly well.)
