I guess I've been obtuse in my explanations. Let me see if I can be more clear.

The statement "Slick Willy got a draft notice and fled to England" contains two statements of fact. Each statement by itself is a true fact. By combining them in a single sentence, the average reader (like you) understands that there is a connection between them. In fact you interpret the sentence to mean the draft notice caused him to flee to England. The sentence in fact says no such thing. It doesn't say "Because Slick got a draft notice he fled to England".

Now the whole purpose of this discussion is THIS IS HOW SLICK WILLY TALKS AND THINKS. He bullshits you and everyone else by the way he uses (abuses) words. He denies having a 12 year affair with Gennifer because it was only 11 year 9 months!!! When will you get it?
