If the OS was Y2K complient, ADIC would still need to be able to do date logic - such as files added or changed in the last 7 days. Correct leap year calculations (what years to allow a Feb 29 - 2000 is a leap year exception to normal programming rules. On the other hand, this sort of logic is simple enough that if they dorked this, they'd have a WHOLE lot more problem. I offered the incrimental backup illustration not as a material concern, but as an illustration that date logic creaps into more that appears on the surface. Also, ADIC supports MVS, which I don't believe is Y2K complient (as opposed the the current trelease of OS/390) Scott
