Carl, But my bet is that this is a Gigabyte issue.

Not to beat a dead horse, but it seems we have: 

AMD CHIP            --->  AMD 
(760 chipset chip)  <-->  Microprocessor


Where is there anybody else's silicon, besides AMD's, in there to generate a glitch?
