Leibniz, lived in a time where "god" was pervasive to our culture (a truism), just as it is in most of the middle east today. Many geniuses like Leibniz, used their great minds back then to try and explain the truism in the face of other facts. Intellectuals in the middleast for instance are not free to debate the question. Look what they did to Salmon Rushdi. Today most great thinkers just step over the "god" question versus science and consider it to be apples and oranges. Faith is faith is faith. Thinking is antithetical to faith. dictionary definition: unquestioning? Complete trust or confidence. Not good enough for me.
