Steve,

Competition among the options exchanges has increased a lot lately. Each of them wants your trades. Many stock's options now trade on multiple exchanges, with the big names trading on all four.

I suppose the merger of NASDAQ and AMEX might be a contributing factor for IDTC, but as the article says, several NYSE stocks are being added also.
