"International press has been reporting for mos that al Qaeda is making alliances with Hamas and other islamic terrorist groups." That is because of our invasion of Iraq and our one-sided relationship with Israel. Hama, Hezbollah etc. have no designs on the U.S., but our invasion and occupation of a muslim nation will push them towards it. These groups do not hate us for our "freedom" as GWB suggests. They hate us because we provide free weaponry to Israel which they have to face (technically Israel pays for the weapons, but since they do so with "foreign aid" that we provide, the weapons are free to them).
