As I said, not that much. The most important thing he has done is to bring integrity back to the office. While the liberals have tried to sling mud, the reality is that none of it has stuck, and the reason is that his entire administration is squeaky clean. Absolute integrity. That is, to me, very important.

I've never met a tax cut I didn't like, so that's probably his most important domestic "achievement", in my mind. And while I don't generally believe presidents have much to do with the economy, his pushing the tax cuts through clearly made the recession shorter.

In his defense, I think he naively believed that by giving Teddy what he wanted he would get something in return. All presidents make mistakes early on, and Bush made this one. This had been his methodology in Texas, and it had worked. He found out right quick that deals with a Kennedy aren't worth a whole lot. Live and learn.
