TC,
Regarding DSL and distance to the hub. If one is on or near the border from the central hub, what type of problems would you expect? I can put up with slower speeds, but not unreliability.

There is no DSL in my area now, but the local phone company is working on providing it. I would be 4 to 5 miles from the hub. Do you think my DSL dreams would become nightmares?

I currently use ISDN. It's been extremely reliable. But it's pricey and quite a bit slower than DSL.
