I'm at a loss. We've beaten the Sunni insurgency, only to turn around and find we've let the Shiite militias (and by implication, Iran) take over. And we're not doing much to stop them, as far as I can see.

Bill thinks the country is de facto partitioning, and so do others. I'm not sure that's not the case. But I do think that is disaster and defeat. If the country partitions - we lost.
