Zeev, truthfully, I don't see problem with the valuation of the markets as a whole at this point. No real threat from inflation. Bond prices look to me to be in no real danger of collapse that I can see. I must say, however, that I am not very high up on the lookout hill as far as these things go. Just going by what is readily available to anyone. The picture I see is static and in the present and the markets are always in flux and look to the future. As some have already posted here, stock prices seem not to have a lot of upside potential based on value. I guess if stocks are not perceived as bargains, they will be subject to selloffs of varying degrees from time to time. But I would guess that the "buy on dips" mentality is still intact. We might be going into a consolidation phase for the markets. But who really knows? There's no real threat, it seems to me, but there's no real screaming buy on the market as a whole, either. So with that as my backdrop, I can easily see a next week as going either way. -g- But to get the kind of drop that Big G is warning of, it will take some kind of catalyst to get the selloff ball rolling. Some crisis, or some unexpected inflationary numbers. Jack |
