I remember watching the first Matrix, and I thought it was merely a good movie. It wasn't until I saw it again on DVD, plus I discussed the spiritual implications with the Muslim guy, that I realized how excellent it really was. So when I saw Reloaded, I was less than impressed at the plot. The first Matrix was self-contained and stood strong by itself; the second seemed like a bolt-on addition that didn't quite fit right. Still, I reserved final judgement until the third movie. (Yeah, yeah, Ten, what are you waiting for?)

Matrix III gets spiritual again..........and of course, I won't say anything more. Just keep in mind, I see all three as just good entertainment.

By the way, we're also thinking of going to Julian this weekend, per your (and some coworkers') recommendations. Last I heard was that it's still a great place to visit despite the fires which burned most of the surrounding countryside and homes.

Please don't let me overhype it. Its quaint and cool by S. CA standards......up here, it would be more commonplace. Nonetheless, its a nice day outing in the country. You guys might want to do some hiking. Best time for mt. hiking, though, is in the spring, when everything turns green from the winter rains. Its like a different world from the rest of the year.
