Jim, for a moment I thought you were asserting that because we all talk of the soul, even those who do not believe in life after death, the soul must exist. Hmmmm . . . yes, but those who do not believe in an afterlife believe that the soul does not survive afterwards.

Language does create reality. And reality creates language. The most commonly cited example is the hundred and some different words for different kinds of snow in the Alaskan Indian languages. One thing I am curious about is whether there is a language in which there is no word for adultery. Do you know?

Life is incredibly intense, almost pulsatingly so, when it is jeopardized. I would not like to live all the time in that intensity, however. I am working on simply appreciating each and every day, and doing well on that.

I am not kind to listen. I am trying to learn things. Thank you for writing!
