No harm, but do you always know they've been washed and put through boiling water? At the retirement home where my mother lived they had linen napkins. I always crumpled mine up before leaving the table because I wasn't sure they were always washed if they didn't look like they had been used. They looked good after dabbing my lips a few times. The retirement home where she lives now uses paper napkins.
